Korean citizens can currently apply for a Mobile Resident Registration Card at community service centres in Seoul, Busan, and Gwangju. From March 28, the service will be available nationwide at all community service centres, regardless of an applicant's place of residence, as well as online via GOV.KR. The Mobile Resident Registration Card is issued to personal smartphones and has the same legal validity as the physical Resident Registration Card, enabling it to be accepted at places like government offices, banks, airports, hospitals, and convenience stores.
