SThrough the contract, Signicat will be the technology provider for the existing mobile driving licence app, called Kørekort-appen, and now also support the verification required for the coming digital identity wallet. The project is part of Denmark’s implementation of the EU’s eIDAS 2.0 regulation and is being rolled out in stages, with the first version of the wallet expected in the first half of 2026.
