The effort builds upon recent developments in NFC and secure element access that have already expanded smartphone authentication options. Two new workgroups have been created to advance this effort: the Smartphone Use Cases Workgroup and the Smartphone Integration Workgroup. These teams will focus on mapping future applications and business models, while developing technical specifications and recommendations for integrating RAIN readers into mobile devices.
